Job summary

Primark seeks an experienced Customer Data Business Analyst for a Digital Transformation Programme, based in Reading with hybrid working Tuesdays. The role focuses on building customer data foundations to enable loyalty, promotions, and personalised engagement across a global retail organisation.

You'll work with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, Data Architects, and Data Engineers to translate business objectives into scalable data products and ensure data requirements drive business

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Business Analyst or similar role.
• Strong experience with customer data, identity, analytics, engagement, or related platforms.
• Experience defining data requirements to support loyalty, marketing, and engagement initiatives.
• Excellent requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
• Experience developing data mappings and logical data models.
• Hands-on with both business and technical teams through the product lifecycle.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis activities for the development of strategic customer data products.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements for loyalty, promotions, and engagement.
• Gather, document, and manage business, functional, and data requirements.
• Facilitate workshops to define data models, rules, and identity requirements.
• Develop source-to-target mappings, glossaries, and data definitions.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to shape data solutions and delivery roadmaps.
• Analyze customer data, identify gaps, and recommend outcomes.
• Support design of reusable customer data assets across the organisation.
• Coordinate with architecture and engineering to align business needs with technical solutions.
