Job summary

Endeavour Automotive Colchester is seeking a friendly, proactive Customer Concierge to join Hyundai Colchester. You will be the first point of contact, creating a welcoming, professional experience from arrival or contact.

You will own the customer journey, ensure people are acknowledged, connected to the right colleague and kept informed on next steps, supporting showroom, service and online inquiries with a customer-first approach.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a friendly, proactive and highly organised Customer Concierge to join our team at Hyundai Colchester.

This is much more than a traditional Receptionist role. As the first point of contact for our customers, you will play a key part in creating a welcoming, professional and seamless experience from the moment they arrive or contact us.

You will take ownership of the customer journey, ensuring every customer is acknowledged promptly, connected with the right colleague and kept informed about what happens next. Whether welcoming a customer into the showroom, answering telephone calls, supporting service customers or helping manage online enquiries, you will make sure everyone feels valued and well looked after.

What You'll Be Doing

• Creating a great first impression by warmly welcoming customers, understanding their needs and introducing them to the appropriate colleague.
• Taking ownership of the customer journey, ensuring customers are never left wondering who is looking after them or what happens next.
• Managing telephone calls and enquiries professionally, directing customers to the right department and ensuring messages and promised callbacks are followed up.
• Supporting digital enquiries by helping ensure online, email and messaging enquiries are acknowledged and passed to the right team promptly.
• Supporting Sales and Aftersales teams by welcoming showroom visitors, service and parts customers, and customers collecting their vehicles.
• Keeping customers informed by monitoring waiting times, providing updates and proactively following up where assistance is delayed.
• Championing customer satisfaction by recognising potential concerns early, resolving minor issues where possible and escalating matters appropriately.
• Maintaining excellent showroom standards, ensuring customer waiting areas, refreshments and reception spaces are welcoming and professionally presented.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across Sales, Aftersales, Parts and management to deliver a joined-up customer experience.
• Celebrating positive feedback and sharing customer comments and opportunities for improvement with the dealership management team.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both face-to-face and over the telephone.
• Is confident, approachable, professional and naturally proactive.
• Is highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy dealership environment.

• Can remain calm and positive under pressure while maintaining a professional approach.
• Is comfortable using computer systems and managing different types of customer enquiries.
• Enjoys working as part of a team and building strong relationships with colleagues.
• Takes pride in maintaining high standards and delivering an excellent customer experience every time.

Previous experience in a customer-facing role, such as Reception, Customer Service, Hospitality or Automotive Retail, would be advantageous.
