Job summary

B&Q Limited is hiring a Checkouts Customer Advisor in Workington for a part-time, permanent role of 25 hours per week. Shifts cover 8.00am to 8.00pm, Monday through Sunday, with a rota that includes weekends and bank holidays.

You’ll be an friendly expert on the till, helping customers with sales, click & collect, setting up displays and ensuring the store looks its best. Training in various areas is provided, with a strong focus on delivering great customer service.

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing, eager to help others.
• Willing to learn and comfortable using new technology.
• Able to work in a team and on a rota including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
• Great customer service will be your main aim.

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like click & collect, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in various areas, but on the tills truly great customer service will be your main aim.

What we need:

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll have happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
