Job summary

B&Q is hiring a Checkouts Customer Advisor to join our stores on a part-time, 12-hour week. This 3 Month Fixed Term Contract offers Monday to Sunday shifts between 6.00am and 10.00pm at UK national rate £13.10 per hour.

You’ll be a friendly, proactive team member who delivers great customer service, supports sales, on tills and in-store displays, and helps customers find the right products for their home improvement projects.

• Enjoys working in a team and handling customer needs.
• Interested in home improvement and retail basics.

Responsibilities

• Help customers at checkouts and on the shop floor.
• Assist with click & collect, displays and store presentation.

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as well as things like click & collect, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in various areas, but on the tills truly great customer service will be your main aim.

What We Need

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
