Job summary

B&Q Stirling is hiring a part-time Customer Advisor to support checkouts, offer friendly service and assist customers with their home improvement purchases. Shifts run Monday to Sunday, 7.00am–10.00pm, totaling 16 hours per week, with on-the-job training.

You will handle tills, support click & collect, help set up displays, and ensure the store looks inviting and well-presented. We value reliable, team-focused staff who are eager to learn.

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing, happy to help and learn
• Comfortable with using new technology and systems
• Enjoy working in a team and on a rota including weekends, evenings and bank holidays

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at checkouts and tills to ensure smooth transactions
• Support click & collect, setting up displays and maintaining an attractive store
• Provide excellent customer service and product knowledge to help customers
• Keep work area clean, organised and safe for staff and customers

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like click & collect, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in various areas, but on the tills truly great customer service will be your main aim.

What we need:

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
