Job summary

B&Q Warrington is looking for a Customer Advisor on a part-time basis (22.5 hours per week). The role includes helping customers, managing stock and displays, and supporting sales while learning paint-mixing and timber cutting.

The position is permanent with shifts across 7.00am–8.00pm, Monday to Sunday. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service, enjoy working in a team, and be flexible with a rota that includes weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing with a strong customer-service mindset.
• Able to work as part of a team and on a rota including weekends.
• Willing to learn new skills like paint-mixing and timber cutting.
• Participate in using store systems and technology.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product advice and home-improvement questions.
• Help manage stock, set up displays and keep the store looking organized.
• Support sales through effective upselling and service.
• Participate in onboarding and training as needed.

What's the job?

Join our team, and you'll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like managing stock, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You'll have the opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and cutting timber, but truly great customer service will be your main aim.

What we need:

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you'll be right at home with us. You're friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You'll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You're great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
