Job summary

B&Q Limited in Harlow is seeking a part-time Customer Advisor to join our store team. Working 20 hours per week on a permanent contract, you’ll help customers, assist with stock, displays and provide friendly service across shifts from 6.00am to 9.00pm.

You’ll be trained in paint-mixing and timber cutting, with a strong emphasis on great customer service, teamwork and flexibility to cover weekends and bank holidays. A competitive hourly rate applies plus store benefits.

Qualifications

• You enjoy helping customers and delivering friendly, proactive service.
• Team player with the ability to work on a rota including weekends and bank holidays.
• Willing to learn new skills and embrace new technology.
• Interest in home improvement and providing expert product knowledge.

UK Notional hourly rate £13.10 per hour (Inclusive of an £0.27 per hour, store specific location allowance)

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like managing stock, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and cutting timber, but truly great customer service will be your main aim.

What we need:

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
