Job summary

B&Q Limited is hiring a Customer Advisor at the Burgess Hill store. This part-time role covers 15 hours per week with shifts across Monday to Sunday, 7.00am–10.00pm. The role offers a permanent contract and a base hourly rate of £13.64, including a location allowance.

You will be an expert advisor, helping customers with home improvement projects, managing stock, and setting up displays. Training in paint-mixing and timber-cutting is possible, with emphasis on delivering outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing, with a buzz for helping others.
• Eager to learn and able to use new technology.
• Able to work in a team and on a rota including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver great customer service and act as an expert advisor.
• Assist with stock, displays and keeping the store looking inviting.

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like managing stock, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and cutting timber, but truly great customer service will be your main aim.

What we need:

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll have happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
