Job summary

B&Q Limited in Kidderminster is seeking a Customer Advisor on a part-time basis (24 hours per week). You’ll help customers, advise on home improvement projects, and support stock management and displays to keep the store looking great. Training in paint-mixing and timber cutting may be provided as part of your development.

You should be friendly, eager to learn, and enjoy working in a team, with flexibility to cover weekends, evenings, and bank holidays on a rota.

• Willing to work a rota including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert customer advice and guidance on products and projects.
• Drive sales while delivering high-quality customer service.
• Manage stock, set up displays and ensure the store looks inviting.
• Assist with paint-mixing and timber cutting trainings when offered.
• Maintain a tidy, welcoming store environment for customers.

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like managing stock, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and cutting timber, but truly great customer service will be your main aim.

What we need:

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
