Job summary

Shaw Trust is seeking a dedicated professional to manage a caseload of participants in custody, providing high-quality support to help individuals engage, break down barriers, and progress toward resettlement and sustainable employment. The role requires Level 2 English & Maths or equivalent, the ability to work with partner agencies, and DBS/HMPPS vetting as a mandatory requirement.

Qualifications

• Level 2 English & Maths or equivalent experience.
• Understanding barriers faced by prisoners and prison leavers with complex needs, providing support, motivation and guidance to help individuals progress towards education, training, employment and reintegration.
• Delivers high-quality services in line with contractual requirements, using communication, organisational and problem-solving skills to engage stakeholders, achieve targets and manage risks.
• Demonstrates flexibility, resilience and initiative in challenging environments, with a commitment to safeguarding, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and high professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of participants in custody, providing high-quality support to engage and break down barriers to resettlement and sustainable employment.
• Work with partner agencies to ensure progression towards education, training and employment goals.
• Meet contractual requirements while maintaining safeguarding and professional standards.
• Assist in maintaining a positive and inclusive environment and adhere to vetting requirements including DBS and HMPPS.
