Job summary

Shaw Trust is seeking an Employment Consultant to support participants on the Restart programme in Birmingham. You will manage a caseload, understand goals, create action plans, and meet regularly to progress toward employment.

You will carry out proactive job searches, engage with local employers, and refer participants to other local services to ensure appropriate support. This is a on-site role based in Birmingham City Centre.

Purpose

Restart is an innovative programme, aimed at supporting individuals (participants) who are seeking employment, to help them to find work. The Employment Consultant will work with a caseload of people who are seeking employment (participants) to help to find them suitable roles. The Employment Consultant will work with the participant to understand their goals and will create an action plan and meet regularly with participants to support them to progress towards employment. The Employment Consultant will carry out proactive job searches, engage with local employers and will sign post to other local services to get the right support for the participants.

Location:

You will be based in our Grosvenor House office in Birmingham City Centre.
