Job summary

Newbury College invites applications for a Curriculum Manager (Construction) to lead our Construction and Building Technology department. The role requires a qualified teacher with degree and strong leadership, able to inspire lecturers and shape curriculum across FE, T-levels and apprenticeships at our Newbury campus.

You will work with the Head of Faculty, drive digital learning initiatives, ensure high standards of behaviour, and liaise with employers.

Qualifications

  • Qualified teacher with a degree in construction or substantial construction experience.
  • Experience in FE management and curriculum development.
  • Mentoring and assessor qualifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Construction and Building Technology curriculum area with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Course Leaders to maintain high behaviour and personal development standards.
  • Act as the lead for teaching, learning and digital innovation within the curriculum area.
  • Develop curriculum with internal and external partners, including employers.

It would be ideal if you have a mentoring and assessor qualifications to further support the successful delivery of the curriculum. Your experience in FE management and curriculum development will enable you to inspire and ensure high quality teaching within your area.Within our construction and building technology curriculum area, we offer a combination of full-time FE students, T-level students and apprentices. We have strong relationships with our local employers and are proud to deliver learning within our fantastic renewables centre.Your key areas of responsibility will be; • Work closely with the Head of Faculty to develop curriculum in consultation with key internal and external stakeholders. • Work with the Course Leaders to ensure there are good standards of behaviour and personal development across the curriculum area. • To be the lead teaching, learning and digital champion for the curriculum area by leading course development, including the application of digital and use of learning technology systems and tools.
