Job summary

Prestwickcare in Alnwick is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support chefs with food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and basic kitchen duties. You will help maintain hygiene, stock serveries, and ensure dishes are washed. A Basic Food Hygiene course and a positive, team‑oriented attitude are preferred.

This role requires UK work authorisation and adherence to health and safety guidelines. Full training is provided and you will join a supportive team across our leisure sites with opportunities to

Qualifications

• Must have good communication and work well in a team.
• DBS check is satisfactory.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• Flexible in rota and reliable.
• Impeccable standards of personal hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assist chefs with basic food prep.
• Keep serveries stocked and kitchen clean.
• Wash dishes and clean kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces and floors.
• Complete Basic Food Hygiene course and follow COSHH rules.
• Follow Health & Safety regulations and confidentiality requirements.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
