Job summary

Stark Group is recruiting a metering technician for Stark Connect to carry out installation, maintenance and testing of metering equipment across customer sites in the UK. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy and high service standards, with opportunities to work on single and three‑phase installations and LVCT metering.

You will typically travel to sites, applying Comcop and DNO authorisations where applicable, and leveraging City & Guilds/IEE knowledge to ensure compliant and efficient

Qualifications

• Authorized to install single and three phase metering installations and LVCT metering.
• Hold Comcop authorisations.
• Hold DNO metering authorisations where applicable.
• Experience in Half Hourly, AMR and SMETS metering would be advantageous.
• Prepared to travel and work away from home on occasions.
• City & Guilds full certificate (232 level or appropriate NVQ).
• IEE wiring regulations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, remove and replace metering equipment as required.
• Commission all types of metering equipment.
• Test and verify LV metering equipment.
• Operate LV system for metering activities per procedures.
• Undertake complex tests and inspections on installations.
• Undertake remote testing of metering equipment.
• Investigate high consumption queries and resolve with customers.
• Ensure quality and safety standards across all work.
