Job summary

The Stark Group, including Stark Connect, is seeking a skilled metering technician to join the Stark Connect team in the UK. The role involves on-site installation, maintenance and testing of LV and CT metering equipment, with a strong focus on accuracy, safety and customer service.

The successful candidate will be trained and authorised for single and three-phase meter installations, with CT metering experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Trained and authorised for single/three-phase meter installation and LVCT metering.
• Hold Comcop authorisations.
• Hold DNO metering authorisations where applicable.
• Experience with Half Hourly, AMR and SMETS metering is an advantage.
• Willing to travel and work away from home.
• City & Guilds certificate (232 level or NVQ).
• IEE wiring regulations knowledge.
• Good personal computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, remove and replace metering equipment.
• Commission all types of metering equipment.
• Test and verify LV metering equipment.
• Operate LV system for metering activities per procedures.
• Undertake complex tests and inspections on installations.
• Undertake remote testing of metering equipment.
• Investigate high consumption complaints and resolve queries with customers.
• Organise people and co-ordinate resources and supplies.
• Coach and guide other staff as needed.
• Plan and schedule work and provide quotations on site to customers.
• Provide technical explanations to the team and customers.
