Job summary

Stark Connect, part of the Stark Group, is seeking a skilled metering technician for an on-site Coventry role. You will carry out metering tasks of a complex technical nature to time, cost and quality targets and provide hands-on support to the team, customers, and operations.

Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, removing and commissioning metering equipment, testing LV systems, conducting remote tests, investigating high consumption and faults, planning on-site work, and ensuring

Qualifications

• Authorized to install single and three‑phase metering installations.
• Hold Comcop authorisations where applicable.
• Hold DNO metering authorisations where applicable.
• Experience in Half Hourly, AMR and SMETS metering would be advantageous.
• Prepared to travel and stay away from home on occasions.
• IEE wiring regulations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, remove and replace all types of metering equipment.
• Commission all types of metering equipment.
• Test and verify LV metering equipment.
• Operate the LV system for metering activities in accordance with procedures.
• Undertake complex tests and inspections on installations.
• Undertake remote testing of metering equipment.
• Investigate high consumption complaints and resolve queries with customers.
• Investigate dangerous occurrences and resolve customer problems.
• Organise people and co-ordinate resources and supplies.
• Plan and schedule work and make quotations on site to customers.
• Provide technical explanation to the team and customers.
