Job summary

Royal Preston Hospital seeks a dedicated Imaging Department Assistant to join the busy CT unit. You will rotate through four scanners and support Radiographers and Radiologists, ensuring patient care and smooth CT workflow.

The role involves preparing patients, cannulation, contrast handling, and assisting with administrative tasks. Training and development opportunities are available, with potential progression to Band 3.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 in a health related subject or equivalent required.
• Willingness to undertake Level 3 apprenticeship in Diagnostic Imaging within 18 months of start date.
• Role requires assisting Radiographers/Radiologists and supporting CT workflow.

Responsibilities

• Provide good quality personalised care in line with local and national standards.
• Assist CT procedures and support radiographers and radiologists.
• Prepare patients for scans and assist in cannulation and contrast preparation.
• Maintain patient safety and participate in stock ordering and department cleaning.
• Support workflow improvements within the CT department.
