Job Description:

Crypto/Digital Assets Lawyer – Cayman Islands

Put aside for one moment that you will be living and working in one of the most desirable locations on the planet; this job could be career-defining wherever it was based. It offers an opportunity to specialise in offshore transactional work for the rapidly developing cryptocurrency/digital assets sector, gaining experience that will place you right at the cutting edge of the market.

Some prior experience in crypto/digital assets is preferred but we are also interested in hearing from corporate/financial services/funds lawyers who have a genuine interest in the sector. It will suit someone who enjoys a diverse range of work since you could be advising on everything from corporate and finance-related matters to the ever-changing regulatory and compliance landscape that clients in this sector must navigate. You may even be called on to offer support in disputes from time to time. It promises to be challenging, exciting, and ultimately highly rewarding.

Requirements

  • Overseas qualified lawyers must be admitted in the UK or an equivalent Commonwealth jurisdiction (such as Australia, New Zealand, or Canada).
  • Likely to suit someone with 3-6 years’ PQE (3 years’ PQE required for work permit).
  • Strong corporate law background with experience of, or a keen interest in, the crypto/digital assets/fintech sector.

Package

  • Attractive tax-free salary (negotiable depending on experience).
  • Comprehensive benefits and bonus.
  • Relocation package (flights + temporary accommodation on arrival + expenses allowance).

Process

  • Interviews will take place by videoconference.
  • Start dates typically around 3-6 months later (depending on your notice period).
  • Our clients provide comprehensive assistance with visas and relocation.
