Shift Engineer - Client Direct - Critical Data Centre - Hemel Hempstead - £53,700 + Bonus

A fantastic opportunity to work in-house at a critical data centre in Hemel Hempstead. The role requires an electrically biased engineer with extensive building maintenance experience, ideally within a critical environment. The company offers a competitive salary of £53,700 plus a 10% bonus.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance & Reactive maintenance on all client assets using the PPM system.
2. Maintain accurate records related to Health & Safety, Building Compliance, and Quality Assurance.
3. Plan, manage, and deliver Facilities Maintenance services ensuring high operational standards.
4. Oversee subcontractors, ensuring contract compliance, safe operations, and proper approvals.
5. Quickly address plant faults and defects to keep systems operational.
6. Ensure availability of necessary spares for maintenance tasks.
7. Complete comprehensive maintenance records via job sheets.
8. Prepare, review, and utilize Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks.
9. Ensure assigned tasks are completed efficiently, utilizing shift engineers as needed.

Hours of Work

• Continental days & nights shift pattern
• 4 days on / 6 days off / 4 nights / 4 days off / 3 nights / 3 days / 4 off
• 07:00 - 19:00, 19:00 - 07:00

Requirements

• Electrical qualification with City & Guilds Level 3
• Knowledge of critical infrastructure systems
• Proven experience in building maintenance within a critical environment
• Good communication skills
• Multi-skilled in Mechanical and Electrical disciplines
• Strong leadership and management skills
