Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is hiring a Care & Maintenance Technician in Bridgwater for the UK’s significant infrastructure project. You will maintain critical equipment, host contractor activities, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance within a large, regulated warehouse environment.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:00, with a salary between £46,500 and £48,500 per year plus 25 days of annual leave, pension, life assurance, and access to our benefits platform.

Qualifications

• Proven engineering or maintenance experience within a large engineering, industrial, manufacturing, logistics, or regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of maintenance practices, engineering standards, risk assessments, method statements, and compliance requirements.
• Experience developing, implementing, or supporting care and maintenance arrangements and activities.
• Strong IT skills with experience using asset management systems and maintaining accurate technical records.
• Full UK driving Licence is essential, as you may be permitted to work across some of our other locations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled care and maintenance activities, ensuring all plant and equipment is maintained in line with supplier requirements and maintenance schedules.
• Host and support contractor visits, inspections, and maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, procedures, schedules, and long-term quality documentation to support ONR requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Identify, report, and support the resolution of defects, maintenance convers, and improvement opportunities across warehouse facilities.
• Support asset reviews, monitor performance, track corrective actions, and champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
