Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager for our busy Wynyard site. You will lead all maintenance and facilities operations across our warehouse, office and welfare facilities to ensure safety, compliance and efficient performance.

This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00, with a salary up to £45,000, a company pension, private medical and dental insurance, 33 days leave, and access to a broad benefits platform including cycle to work and savings schemes.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management or engineering leadership.
• Proven ability to manage technical teams and external contracts.
• Qualifications: NVQ 4 / HNC/ HND or equivalent, IOSH or NEBOSH.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical, mechanical and general maintenance across the site.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
• Oversee contractor management ensuring safety and compliance.
• Coordinate facilities projects and support improvement plans.
