Job summary

EDF is recruiting a Care & Maintenance Technician for Bridgwater to support our industrial warehouse facilities. You will perform planned maintenance on critical equipment, follow safety and regulatory standards, and work closely with GXO teams to keep operations running smoothly.

The role is full-time, permanent, 37.5 hours per week, with a 07:00–15:00 shift pattern. A Level 2 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and IOSH qualification are required, along with a strong commitment to safety and

Qualifications

• Level 2 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or related).
• IOSH qualification demonstrated and up-to-date.
• Experience maintaining equipment in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled care and maintenance activities, defect inspections, evaluations and rectification per plans.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, asset registers and ONR-compliant records.
• Support contractor visits and ensure work is completed safely and to standards.
• Monitor equipment condition, escalate defects promptly, coordinate with Operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency and maintenance performance.
