Main duties of the job

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate, and effective individualised care to all patients.

  • Deputise for the Senior Nurse as required.

Education

  • NMC registered Nurse
  • Teaching Qualification such as SSSA or Mentorship in Practice, or equivalent experience
  • 60 Credit Critical Care Course
  • Leadership Qualification

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Knowledge of the specialty and ward organization skills.
  • Problem-solving ability and innovative thinking.
  • Knowledge of quality standards, setting, and audit processes.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Competency in medication administration, including IV medications.
  • Ability to undertake clinical activities related to the specialty, including CC3N Step 1–3 competencies.
