An established healthcare provider in London is seeking a dedicated medical practitioner to join their dynamic HPB unit. The Hammersmith HPB unit is now one of the largest in West London, acting as a receiving centre for patients with liver, pancreatic, and biliary disorders from the region, the UK, and worldwide. It is recognized as a world leader in innovation and clinical practice and is part of Imperial College, ranked third in biomedical research globally.
The unit comprises four HPB consultants, clinical research fellows, and Specialty Trainees (ST). Academically, the unit has a strong record in research areas such as gene therapy, genomic and stem cell therapy for chronic liver disease, and radiofrequency devices for managing HPB malignancy.
The post is initially for 6 months with the possibility of extension.

Including participation in patient care, on-call duties, outpatient clinics, and theatre sessions for HPB patients. Covering activities of the HPB surgical team and general surgical on-calls, including OG and Endocrine cases out of hours. Attending meetings, participating in a weekly teaching program for SHOs and registrars, ward teaching, and MDTMs. The role offers a significant research involvement opportunity, given the unit's strong academic track record.

Salary range: £41,750 - £64,288 per annum plus London Weighting.
