Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join the busy Critical Care Unit. You will help maintain a clean, safe and well-organised environment, enabling clinicians to deliver high-quality patient care while supporting patients, relatives and staff.

You will manage stock levels, assist with meal ordering, coordinate supplies and liaise with catering, estates and support services to resolve issues quickly in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Role involves non-clinical duties in a busy Critical Care Unit.
• Stock management and coordination with support services are essential.
• Strong communication and organisational skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stock levels of clinical and non-clinical supplies and ensure items are available and stored properly.
• Order patient meals and assist patients and families with menu choices using the trusts electronic system.
• Keep the unit clean, organised, welcoming and in line with infection prevention standards.
• Liaise with catering, domestic services, estates, procurement and other support departments to resolve issues promptly.
• Support staff facilities and resources, including locker allocation and upkeep of communal areas.
• Identify and report maintenance, environmental or stock issues and minimise disruption to the service.
