Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated catering and housekeeping assistant to support inpatient wards. You will provide meals, maintain cleanliness, and assist with dietary needs and records in a mental health setting.

Role requires adherence to food safety, HACCP, and infection prevention standards, with strong teamwork and communication across nursing staff and service users. On-site role within NHS facilities.

Competenze

• Experience in catering and general housekeeping within healthcare settings is desirable.
• Ability to work to national standards of cleanliness and infection prevention.
• Good communication with multidisciplinary teams and service users.

Mansioni

• Provide a high standard of catering and general housekeeping duties within a mental health inpatient environment.
• Receive and store all food in accordance with standards and Trust policy.
• Prepare and pack menu items for service users in line with Food Safety, HACCP and Health & Safety policies.
• Regenerate/prepare and serve meals and sundry items adhering to distribution timescales and policies.
• Wash all items and tableware after each meal service.
• Maintain cleanliness of the unit catering department at all times according to policy.
• Collate and input data for ordering of special diets onto catering sheets.
• Liaise on menu changes and answer queries from service users and nursing staff.
• Maintain records for food storage and regeneration in line with policy.
• Prepare for meal times with display of menus as required.
• Maintain stock levels and assist with ward cleanliness and equipment checks.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff and other colleagues.
