This is a 12-month Band 6 secondment into the role of Critical Care educator with a primary base at Peterborough City Hospital. The post holder will help to facilitate training, education and support the practice and development of all relevant clinical staff related to the care of Critically Ill patients.

They will work with the Band 7 Educators at NWAFT. Main responsibilities include ensuring staff are trained, educated and developed to their potential, identifying those lacking competence,

Formación

• Must be an NMC registered nurse with current UK registration.
• Hold Supervisor/Assessor status or mentorship qualification.
• Post-registration critical care qualification is required.
• Teaching qualifications or experience (PGCE or equivalent) are desirable.
• Leadership qualification is desirable.
• Evidence of formal and informal teaching activities in critical care.

Responsabilidades

• Facilitate training and support the practice and development of all relevant clinical staff related to the care of Critically Ill patients.
• Provide support where needed for education needs arising from critical care projects across ward areas.
• Contribute to multi-disciplinary education and teaching with regard to expert critical care knowledge, skills, competencies and equipment.
• Assist with induction processes for all registered and unregistered staff.
• Develop and deliver training to meet gaps identified through training needs analysis and ensure compliance with Critical Care frameworks.
