Job summary

Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Cambridge is seeking an experienced Critical Care Area (CCA) educator on a secondment basis. The role blends clinical practice with educational leadership, with two-thirds focused on learning and development and one-third on maintaining clinical expertise within CCA.

You will work within the CCA Education Team, delivering induction, mandatory training, competency assessment, simulation and professional development to strengthen the critical care

Qualifications

• Professional adult nursing qualification and clinical knowledge to diploma or degree level.
• A postgraduate critical care course (level 6) or equivalent.
• Leadership/management training and/or experience.
• Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Council.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of high-quality patient care through education, induction and mandatory training.
• Contribute to clinical skills teaching, simulation and competency assessment.
• Act as a visible educational resource within the clinical environment.
• Deliver teaching activities while receiving supervision and mentorship.
• Develop learning needs in collaboration with clinical leaders and educators.
