Job summary

The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Nurse Educator for Critical Care to lead education programmes within the Trust's Critical Care Skills Institute. The post involves teaching, mentoring and supporting pre- and post-registration learners, and developing evidence-based practice within critical care settings.

Applicants should hold an NMC registration with a nursing degree, and have post-registration critical care experience.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse with a nursing degree.
• Post-registration in critical care is required or desirable.
• Postgraduate teaching qualification or progression toward it is preferred.
• Evidence of mentorship experience and ability to develop education programmes.

Responsibilities

• Provide six days per month for Critical Care Skills Institute activities.
• Attend monthly PEF and curriculum meetings.
• Lead and contribute to critical care education programmes.
• Develop and evaluate learning opportunities for staff and students.
• Maintain data management for educational programmes.

NMC Registered Nurse

Degree in Nursing Studies

Post registration in critical care qualification

Post graduate teaching qualification (or working towards)
