Job summary

County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Practice Development Educator to lead education, training and professional development for the Critical Care team, coordinating clinical skills development and supporting staff through competency pathways.

The post requires an experienced Critical Care Nurse with a teaching qualification or willingness to study PGCE, a flexible approach to shifts, and a visible clinical leadership presence within the Intensive Care team to ensure safe,

Qualifications

Nursing degree and CPD evidence.
Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care.
Teaching qualification or PGCE (or willing to complete).
Evidence of continuing professional development and NMC registration.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate education and professional development within Critical Care.
Maintain a visible clinical presence, providing teaching, coaching, simulation and practical skills development.
Plan, deliver and evaluate educational programmes; support new starters and experienced staff.
Represent the unit at Trust and regional Critical Care education meetings and share best practice.
