Job summary

Paragon Social Care in Billingham is seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to help improve the lives of young people in local authority care. You will provide trauma-informed, compassionate care, build trusting relationships and support education, life skills and independence.

Responsibilities include promoting healthy lifestyles, preparing meals, advocating for young people, assisting with medical appointments and attending community activities. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people (paid or voluntary).
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own car.
• Patience, empathy, and emotional resilience.
• Flexibility to work waking nights, weekends and sleep-ins.
• A clear enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

What We’re Looking For

A relevant qualification (such as NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care) is desirable but not essential — we’ll support the right people to grow.

• £17.50ph - £24.00ph PAYE Rate (including holiday pay)

• £20.00ph - £28.00ph Umbrella Rate
