Job summary

Warwickshire Police in Leamington Spa is seeking a Criminal Justice Supervisor to lead the Traffic Process Unit, oversee staff performance, and ensure high-quality service to victims and witnesses, police officers and partner agencies.

Based at Leamington Justice Centre, the role requires supervising file building for Crown Prosecution Service and police-led prosecutors, presenting cases in court when needed, and driving continual process improvements across the unit.

Qualifications

• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to undertake discreet pieces of time critical work.
• Competent in IT, including Microsoft packages.
• Knowledge of Criminal Justice system and Victims Code.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the provision of an effective file-building function for criminal offences and traffic offences.
• Lead and support staff to meet quality and timeliness guidelines.
• Present cases in court when required by Police-Led Prosecutors.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to refer victims and witnesses appropriately.
• Maintain force systems and management information for the unit.
• Chair or attend joint agency meetings as representative of the Criminal Justice Unit.
