Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator, Luton

We are seeking a Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator for an initial 3-month contract, with the potential for permanent employment, based in Luton. The role requires on-site presence from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Manage individuals subject to ATR and DRR court orders, collaborating with partners such as the Police, Courts, and HM Probation Service.
• Assess defendants' eligibility for Community Sentence Treatment Requirements (CSTR) via court and phone consultations with probation.
• Conduct screening, evaluation, and planning for rehabilitation, and facilitate referrals to reduce harm caused by drugs and alcohol to clients and the community.
• Implement psychological therapies to reduce injury, disengagement, and related criminal activity.
• Encourage participation from carers, clients, and the community.
• Promote awareness of partnering services.

Experience and Skills Required:

• In-depth understanding of substance abuse issues and a relevant background.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficient IT skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated, with excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
• Solid knowledge of mental health services, therapies, and best practices.
• Adaptability to change, with a focus on service users' needs.
• Understanding of information governance procedures and commitment to security measures.
