Job Details: Outreach Recovery Coordinator

Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down barriers that prevent people from accessing support to live a valued life. We address poverty and disadvantage through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing, and related support services.

We operate nearly 200 services across England with close to 3,500 staff and volunteers supporting approximately 125,000 people annually.

As we integrate two large organizations, some systems and branding (still under ‘Humankind’) are temporarily separate. Full integration is planned for next year.

Position: Outreach Recovery Coordinator

Working hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, with occasional evening work (5pm-8pm) as needed.

Location: 590 Seven Sisters Road, London, N15 6HR

About the role

Join Haringey Alcohol Service (HAGA) as an Outreach Recovery Worker, part of the Haringey Treatment Model (HARTS). The role involves supporting clients into treatment, particularly those who are homeless or vulnerably housed, to improve access to substance misuse support, sustain, and move into settled accommodation. You may also work at The Grove Drug Service occasionally.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Delivering satellite provisions at locations such as GPs, probation offices, and hostels.
• Providing harm reduction, brief interventions, and managing care plans, risk assessments, and case management for assigned service users.
• Utilizing active listening skills in a client-facing role, with previous voluntary or paid experience.

About you

• Experience managing a caseload.
• Knowledge or experience in substance misuse.
• Supporting vulnerable individuals affected by alcohol and/or drug use.
• Comfortable working alone and in various settings.
• Relevant qualification in Health and Social Care.
• Proactive, empathetic, motivated, and passionate about delivering high-quality care.
