Job summary

West Norfolk is seeking a Crematorium Operations Team Leader based at Mintlyn Crematorium, King's Lynn. The role is full-time (37 hours) with a starting salary between £28,329 and £33,510 per annum, and a rota including some Saturdays and public holidays.

You will lead Crematorium Attendants, oversee maintenance and regulatory compliance, and ensure dignified, compliant services for bereaved families and the community.

Qualifications

• Requires FBCA or ICCM cremator training certificate or willingness to achieve within six months.
• GCSEs at grades 5-9 or equivalent, including English and Maths.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Crematorium Attendants from trainee to experienced operators.
• Oversee maintenance, regulatory compliance and data records.
• Prepare cremated remains and ensure cremations meet Code of Cremation Practice and Environmental Permit.
• Provide cover and training for colleagues; contribute to tours and open days.
