Job summary

Admiral Money, the lending arm of Admiral Group, is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to provide independent oversight of credit strategies across unsecured loans, motor finance and mortgages. You will partner with Credit and Pricing teams to ensure decisions fit risk appetite, policy, and regulatory standards.

Role sits in the Credit Policy and Oversight team, using data analytics to identify portfolio trends and strengthen governance while supporting responsible growth.

Qualifications

• 2+ years credit risk experience in consumer lending.
• Strong SQL coding knowledge.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent risk oversight of credit strategies across our three lending portfolios.
• Partner with 1st line Credit and Pricing teams to ensure lending decisions align with risk appetite and policy.
• Use advanced analytics to conduct deep-dive reviews and identify emerging portfolio trends.
• Shape and enhance credit policies that protect both the business and its customers.
• Lead thematic reviews to ensure consistent application of risk frameworks.
• Assess proposed strategy changes against regulatory requirements and risk appetite.
• Champion robust controls and governance across lending operations.
• Provide crucial second-line challenge and insights to support risk management.
• Ensure compliance with FCA requirements while enabling business growth.
