Company Description

Our Credit Risk Analysts are key to analysing our data to make sure we can maximise the number of connections onto our network, while highlighting risks and offering potential solutions.

Credit Risk plays a pivotal role in preventing applicants with a high propensity for Fraud or Bad Debt from connecting onto the network, while ensuring we take on as many connections as possible. You will be part of the team controlling the “First Bill Not Paid” rate for new connections, providing feedback on new device performance and areas for improvement, as well as reporting on the performance of our sales channels. This information is highly visible across the business and to our shareholders.

The successful candidate will use their SAS & Excel skills to proactively analyse, interpret trend information, and communicate key messages, while making robust recommendations to senior management. Outside-the-box thinking is essential!

Job Description

  1. Proactively collect, analyse, and interpret information to support the development of credit strategies, policies, and processes.
  2. Ability to create custom code to collect, analyse, and interpret data to understand key trends using data mining techniques is advantageous.
  3. Use SAS to analyse project-specific data, assess campaign success, customer profiles, and impact on First Bill Not Paid.
  4. Engage with team members to manage key performance objectives and challenge existing credit policies.
  5. Perform regular and ad-hoc tasks, producing reports and presentations to support the Credit Risk team and communicate with senior management.

Qualifications

  • Experience analysing and interpreting data within the Financial Services Sector or Telecoms Business.
  • Ability to identify key trends/issues quickly and suggest solutions.
  • Advanced Excel skills: Pivots, Vlookup, conditional formatting; VBA is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Alteryx, Snowflake, SQL, and Tableau is desirable.
