Job summary

Isle of Wight NHS Trust is seeking a Finance Assistant to support the Management Accountant within the Finance Department. The post requires coordination across Isle of Wight NHS Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, with a view to delivering high-quality financial support.

You will assist in budget setting, financial analysis, and the development and monitoring of expenditure and income processes, contributing to Cost Improvement Plans across both organisations.

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent).
• IT qualification, preferably in Microsoft Office and Oracle.
• Relevant high level NHS financial management qualification and/or NHS work experience.
• Basic knowledge of health service financial management information analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive administrative service to support the Management Accountant within the Finance Department.
• Support the completion of financial analysis to inform management decisions.
• Support development, implementation and monitoring of expenditure and income processes for both Trusts.
