NC Associates are recruiting an experienced Credit Controller for a Wilmslow-based role on a temporary-to-permanent basis. You will manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring payments are collected within terms while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in Credit Control or Accounts Receivable.
• Experience managing a customer ledger.
• Strong telephone and written communication skills.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
• Good understanding of credit control and debt recovery processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Proactive and results-driven.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and collect payments.
• Contact customers by phone, email and post to recover debt.
• Allocate customer payments accurately.
• Investigate and resolve invoice and payment queries.
• Negotiate payment arrangements where required.
• Monitor aged debt and prioritise overdue accounts.
• Maintain records of customer contact and collection activity.
• Produce aged debt reports for management.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve disputes.
• Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Identify potential bad debt risks and escalate concerns.
• Support wider finance team with ad-hoc duties.
