Job summary

Glendale, a family owned company since 1989, is seeking a Credit Controller at Head Office (Duxbury) on a full-time basis with hybrid working. You will manage aged debt ledgers, cash reconciliation and debt collection across a diverse client base while upholding credit control policies.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will liaise with contract managers, maintain dashboards, escalate where needed and support management accounts with reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency with IT systems and spreadsheets.
• Strong communication skills across levels.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy and persistence.
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage time efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Proactively pursue outstanding debts via telephone, letter, and email.
• Liaise with contract managers to ensure timely debt collection.
• Maintain aged debt dashboard and notes on status.
• Initiate legal proceedings when necessary to recover bad debts.
• Assist Management Accounts with turnover reconciliations.
• Upload bulk billing and invoices to sales ledger.
• Allocate debtor payments daily and bank cheques per holding limits.
• Identify banking discrepancies and investigate variances.
• Complete debtor balance sheet reconciliations within 30 days.
