Job summary

Convergence Group is seeking a Credit Controller to manage customer accounts, chase outstanding payments and resolve payment blockers. You’ll collaborate with Finance, Sales and Operations to ensure timely payments and accurate records.

The role requires 3+ years in credit control within a fast-paced SME and experience with NetSuite; BPSS clearance may be required. Hybrid working with a Solihull office is available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in a Credit Controller role.
• Strong B2B credit control experience, with a proven track record of collecting outstanding payments.
• Confidence speaking to customers and Accounts Payable teams about overdue invoices.
• Experience working in a fast-paced SME environment.
• Experience maintaining accurate financial records and working with ERP/finance systems.
• Ability to pass BPSS clearance checks.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer accounts and debt; proactively chase outstanding and aged debt, send payment reminders, and work with Accounts Payable to secure payment.
• Post and reconcile customer receipts; maintain debtor records; calculate interest and produce aged debt reports.
• Investigate and resolve invoice and payment queries; work with Finance, Sales and Operations to remove disputes and move payments.
• Raise and process purchase orders in NetSuite; support month-end and year-end activities; provide financial reports.
• Oversee KPIs: keep overdue debt and unallocated cash below 5% and ensure timely payments.
