Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Credit Controller in Epsom to join a fast-paced finance team. The role is full-time, permanent, with hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days remote) and a starting salary of £30,000 plus benefits.

You will manage customer ledgers, drive cash collection and build strong relationships. Day-to-day duties include chasing payments, reconciling accounts, monitoring credit limits, and supporting credit decisions on new accounts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in Credit Control or a similar finance role.
• Strong communication skills to build rapport with customers.
• Confident in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Proactive and positive with a can-do attitude.
• Comfortable managing workload and prioritising effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding debt.
• Proactively chase payments via phone, email and other channels.
• Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor credit limits and ensure they remain appropriate.
• Manage and review credit-stopped orders and take action as needed.
• Identify changes in customer payment behaviour and escalate risks.
• Log and resolve customer queries promptly.
• Process new account applications and support credit decisions.
