Job summary

St John Ambulance is seeking a Credit Controller on a fixed-term maternity cover contract (until December 2026). You will manage customer accounts, ensure timely debt collection and deliver excellent customer service while collaborating with internal teams to resolve payment queries and discrepancies.

You will work within the Credit Control team, handling payments, refunds, and daily processing, supporting cash flow and GDPR confidentiality in line with HEART values.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including Maths and English.
• Experience in Accounts Receivable or credit control in a finance environment.
• Experience managing large finance data sets and high-volume cash collection.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and collect debts promptly.
• Investigate payment queries, disputed invoices, and discrepancies; maintain records.
• Process and allocate payments, manage refunds and credit holds; support reconciliations.
