Job summary

Academia the Technology Group is seeking a proactive Credit Controller to join our finance team in the UK. You will manage customer accounts, assess credit, and drive timely payments while delivering excellent service to internal stakeholders and external customers.

In a high-volume environment, you will chase payments daily, monitor balances, perform credit checks, and support the wider Finance function with accurate reconciliations and admin tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit control with debt collection responsibilities.
• Strong numeracy and ability to work with financial data.
• Proactive communicator with customers via phone and email.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer accounts and allocate appropriate credit limits.
• Build relationships with customers through regular communication.
• Daily chasing on assigned ledger.
• Monitor debtor balances and DSO metrics.
• Process new account applications and conduct credit checks.
• Post cash to accounts daily.
• Send reminders and statements weekly.
• Provide administrative support to the Credit Control team.
