Job summary

Academia Group is seeking a proactive Credit Controller to join our fast-paced finance team. You will manage customer accounts, ensure timely payments, and support the Debtor Sales Outstanding metric while building strong relationships with internal teams and external customers.

You will handle daily ledger chasing, credit checks, and posting cash, with a focus on accuracy, diplomacy, and timely resolution of queries in a busy IT services environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit control and debt collection.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume environment.
• Proactive in resolving invoice queries.
• Proficient in MS Office and finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Daily chasing on your assigned ledger.
• Close monitoring of debtor balances and DSO management.
• Processing new account applications and credit checks.
• Reconciling accounts and posting cash daily.
• Sending reminders and statements weekly.
• Handling queries and resolving issues promptly.
• Providing admin support within the Credit Control team.
• Supporting wider Finance function when needed.
