Job summary

Ripon Farm Services Ltd is seeking a Credit Controller to strengthen the credit control team, focusing on cash flow and building strong customer relationships while maintaining service standards.

You will manage new accounts, oversee day-to-day credit control activities, coordinate payments, negotiate repayment plans, and escalate issues with the Credit Control Manager as needed. The role requires strong organisational skills and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in credit control or cash collection.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with finance systems (IBCOS) preferred.
• Excellent telephone manner and professional communication.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise.
• Influence, negotiate and escalate when needed.

Responsibilities

• Open new accounts and manage the day-to-day of your customer base.
• Establish and maintain internal and external customer relationships at all levels.
• Ensure calls, letters, statements and follow-up actions are carried out to obtain payment of due/overdue debts.
• Coordinate payments to support cash collection and reduce aged debt.
• Resolve queries around outstanding invoices with internal and external stakeholders.
• Agree and enforce repayment plans with customers.
• Liaise with the Credit Control Manager to escalate payment issues to third-party collection agencies.
• Maintain customer records and log changes and queries.
• Manage credit limits within authorised levels and escalate as needed.
• Ensure processes align with collection requirements and account reconciliations.
• Prioritise workload in a changing environment.
