MTrec Commercial is seeking a Credit Controller to join our client’s permanent team in the Newcastle area. You will chase overdue invoices, manage debtor ledgers, and handle a high volume of calls and emails with a professional, client-focused approach.

The role requires strong Excel skills, data analysis, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Experience in credit control and debt recovery is advantageous. A competitive salary and benefits are on offer.

Qualifications

• Highly organised with experience in credit control procedures.
• Numerate, able to manage multiple priorities effectively, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong IT skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyse data, create reports, utilise complex formulas and functions, and manage large datasets with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to collaborate with colleagues, clients and intermediaries.

Responsabilités

• Responsible for chasing and collection of overdue invoices
• Handling a large volume of communications including phone calls and emails
• Proactively speak with clients to establish their reasons for non-payment
• Administrative duties to process statements and payment reminders
• Providing timely management information and reconciliations to enable prompt decision making
• Preparation of regular reports for management and distribution to fee earners
• Manage debtor ledger balances
• Managing the Inbox for the collections team
• Dealing with invoice queries and working with Fee Earners to resolve client disputes
• Support the Billing Coordinator where necessary.
