Job summary

Rubax Lifts Limited is seeking a Credit Controller for a 12‑month fixed term contract in Warrington. You will support the Order to Cash process, maintain credit control standards and drive timely payments from customers. You will interact with internal teams and external customers to safeguard working capital targets.

The role requires 3+ years in credit control, strong communication, and proficiency in MS Office. Knowledge of SAP/Power BI is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Credit Controller.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook).
• Experience in debt collection and resolving payment disputes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong credit control system and ensure policy compliance.
• Monitor debtor balances and reduce debtor days.
• Manage customer accounts and drive timely payment collection.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Regularly report outstanding debt issues and potential debtor risks to management.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service to resolve queries.
• Ensure overdue debts are collected per targets.
• Initiate recovery actions to achieve debt resolution.
• Lead cash collection review calls with leaders and admins.
• Assess recurring slow/non-paying customers to support decisions.
• Own collection performance and drive corrective actions.
• Escalate complex disputes to Credit Control Team Leader.
• Work with Treasury to minimise unallocated cash.
• Prepare bad debt write-off recommendations with activity evidence.
• Create SOPs to support an efficient credit control function.
