CV Screen is recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join a well-established organisation based in Tipton. The role focuses on high-value accounts, building relationships with senior stakeholders and delivering timely payments.

The position is 100% office based with a £40,000 salary and an excellent benefits package. You will lead debt reviews, analyse complex data, and partner with commercial and service teams to resolve issues that impact collections.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Credit Controller or similar strategic debt role.
• Experience handling high-value commercial accounts preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting practices.
• Advanced Excel and SAGE experience.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of high-value strategic customer accounts, driving timely payment and debt resolution.

• Lead regular debt reviews, producing reports and KPI information for commercial discussions.

Introduction

CV Screen is recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join a well-established and growing organisation based in Tipton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused credit professional to manage high-value strategic accounts and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders. Our client is a long-established, family-run business operating across the utilities and civil engineering sectors, with more than 40 years of industry experience and significant growth over the past decade. The role is 100% office based and offers a salary of £40,000 plus an excellent benefits package.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Take ownership of high-value strategic customer accounts, driving timely payment and effective debt resolution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders, including directors and key account contacts.
• Lead regular debt reviews, producing relevant reports, presentations and KPI information to support commercial discussions.
• Analyse complex account data, reconciliations and trends, identifying issues and implementing appropriate actions.
• Work closely with commercial and service teams to resolve queries, complaints and processes that may impact successful debt collection.

What Experience is Required

• Proven experience in a Credit Controller or similar strategic debt management role, ideally handling high-value commercial accounts.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting practices, with advanced Excel skills and experience using financial systems such as SAGE.
• Excellent communication, analytical and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage senior stakeholders and multiple priorities.
