Job summary

CV Screen is recruiting an experienced Credit Controller for its Derby head office. You will manage a busy ledger, proactively contact customers, and take ownership of debt collection in a motor trade environment.

The role offers hybrid working (4 days in the office, Friday work from home) and a salary of £27,500 per year with excellent benefits including pension, discounts and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven Credit Control experience managing busy ledgers.
• Motor Trade experience is highly desirable; Keyloop familiarity a plus.
• Strong communication, Excel and data inputting skills, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage outstanding debt via calls and email.
• Allocate debtor accounts and chase payments per procedures.
• Produce customer statements and perform daily cash allocations.
• Resolve credit queries with site managers.
• Maintain relations with customers and internal teams with debt updates.

Introduction

CV Screen is recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join a well-established automotive business at its Derby-based Head Office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident credit professional who can hit the ground running and take ownership of a busy ledger. The organisation has a long-established presence within the UK motor industry and operates across multiple locations, providing a range of automotive products and services. Previous Motor Trade experience would be a real advantage, while experience using Keyloop is desirable but not essential. The key requirement is strong, hands‑on Credit Control experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Proactively manage outstanding debt through regular telephone and email contact.
• Take responsibility for allocated debtor accounts, ensuring payments are pursued in line with company procedures.
• Produce and distribute regular customer statements and complete daily cash allocation.
• Deal with incoming Credit Control queries and work with site managers to resolve outstanding issues.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams, providing regular updates on debt recovery.

What Experience is Required

• Proven Credit Control experience with the ability to manage a busy ledger and work independently.
• Motor Trade experience is highly desirable; Keyloop experience would be advantageous.
• Strong communication, Excel and data inputting skills, with excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach.

Location

Based in Derby, this role is commutable from Nottingham, Burton upon Trent, Long Eaton, Ilkeston, Ripley, Ashbourne, Chesterfield and Belper.
